Raining Blues

Here's the finished song, if anyone was interested. ^^;

Raining Blues

I had the blues real bad one time,
But I"m feeling so much better now since the sunshine came out.

I woke up that mornin' feelin' so good, I couldn't wait to get on the bus.
Dark clouds grouped together as we drove down to the camp.

Shells were dug up and the sand was piled high.
Then the rain, she came down hard and forced us inside.

Marshmallows on sticks were burning brown in the fireplace.
I spent the day watching a movie about wishes three,
The ending was terrible but then again we went outside.

We played a game of soccer, a wet game of soccer,
The blues were played away.

I had the blues real bad one time,
But I'm feeling so much better now since the sunshine came out.

I've Got The Blues

Our class was assigned to write a blues song/poem today. What I've learned about blues so far, is that it repeats itself a lot and some parts rhyme but not all. Here is my part of my rough draft.

I woke up in the mornin' and I ain't got a choice
I woke up in the mornin' and I ain't got a choice
I've got a presentation to give
So I've got to get goin', goin', goin', yeah, I'm goin'

...

There's nothing on my mind 'cept that frightenin' presentation
Nothing left to do but preparation

...

And the chorus. I mean it, this thing is rough.

There ain't no choice unless I wanna fail
There ain't no choice unless I wanna fail
I'll eat them eggs and walk down the trail
I'll quiz my brain and suck in the air to make my voice blare

Comments? Or suggestions? Any would be helpful. ^^
